Learning, caring and growing together

Welcome to Quilchena

At Quilchena School, we are a community that:

                    • learns together

                    • cares together

                    • grows together

Quilchena is a vibrant school community on the west side of Richmond.  We strive to create an active, respectful learning community which focuses on environmental stewardship, academic excellence, and positive social interactions.  Quilchena Cyclones show respect for the community, for others and for themselves. Quilchena School opened in 1974. The name Quilchena comes from the Salish word meaning "flat land near water" recognizing the fact that a First Nation's settlement had been located very near to the site of the school.
