Learning, caring and growing together

Welcome to Quilchena

WELCOME TO QUILCHENA ELEMENTARY
Quilchena is a vibrant school community on the west side of Richmond.  We strive to create an active, respectful learning community which focusses on environmental stewardship, academic excellence and positive social interactions.  Quilchena Cyclones show respect for the community, for others and for themselves.

Quilchena Elementary School  (1974- )  Official Opening October 3, 1975

The name Quilchena comes from the Salish word meaning "flat land near water." The intent of the School Board was to recognize the fact that a First Nation’s settlement had been located near this site.
