On of the goals the staff set at the end of last year was to use consistent math vocabulary across all grades, while displaying and using common anchor charts for students to access when working on math activities. 

We have started with a list of 20 words and created a set of vocabulary cards (each with a visual) for all classrooms, that teachers post in their rooms to refer to while teaching and for students to access during math activities.

We will continue to build on our vocabulary lists and collect data around students ability to understand, apply and explain their thinking, using the math vocabulary.
