In reviewing our end of first term student scans, we learned that many of our students did feel they could connect with their classmates, school peers and adults in the building. Many could list activities they enjoyed connecting with their school community members and what activities they found meaningful. It was apparent that by being intentional and genuine in how we connect with our students, provides a stronger sense of belonging. Staff also realized that by discussing the "why" we are doing certain activities that focus on Self, Others and Place, students became more invested and involved in their reflections and actions.
