Self Regulation at Quilchena
At Quilchena our students are aware of the influence of readiness has on their daily learning? In all of classes students are explicitedly taught how to tell if they are ready for learning. Students learn what tools they need to get their bodies ready for learning. Students may choose to sit in a hoki stool or to stand a standing desk. Students may need a figet toy or may need a body break out of the classroom. Some students prefer the lighting to be more natural a little lower. Students are made aware that each student is unique is what they need for their learning. Our staff works very hard to teach self regulation in our classrooms.
