WHAT ACTIONS DID WE TAKE?

• Student scans and interviews

• Friendship Groups & Café

• Mindful listening and observing during unstructured times, both indoors and outdoors

• Direct instruction of SEL strategies & meaningful, dedicated reflection time

• Purchase of mentor and anchor texts to support direct teaching in all classrooms

• Staff focussed discussions and collaboration during our Pro-D days

• School-wide Family Teams activities focussing on Caring for self, others and place while building connections and community

• School-wide acknowledgement and daily announcements focussing on Caring for self, others and place

    • How can we deepen the connections between Quilchena Care Circles and the Core Competencies (I can statements)?

    • How to help students learn about what they need in the moment? What they need in the spaces they learn in?

    • How can we further unpack the term Belonging and create a greater understanding of our students' well-being?

    • How might our data from our student scans and core competency reflections further guide our planning?
